SUPPORT
A number of support networks are available to those affected by gambling in the UK. Here are some useful links:
Gambler's Anonymous
Fellowship
Gamblers Anonymous (GA) is an international fellowship of people who have a compulsive gambling problem. They meet regularly to share their experiences, strength and hope so they can help each other solve the problems compulsive gambling has created in their lives, and to help others recover from the addiction of compulsive gambling. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop gambling.
Gambling with Lives
Charity
Gambling with Lives was set up by the families and friends of young people who had taken their own lives as a direct result of gambling. It aims to support families who have been bereaved by gambling related suicides and raise awareness amongst gamblers, their families and friends, and health professionals of the dangerous effects of gambling on mental health and the high suicide risk.
